YouTube Thumbnail Compressor

01

Target size first

Choose JPG or WebP, set a maximum file size, and let the engine search for the best quality that fits. PNG remains lossless, so very small targets may require changing dimensions or format.

The older 2 MB limit is still relevant for mobile thumbnail uploads, while YouTube's current desktop upload limit is much larger. ThumbPull therefore lets you set the number you actually need instead of assuming one universal cap.

FAQ / PRACTICAL ANSWERS

NO MYSTERY CONTROLS.

Can I target exactly 2 MB?

Yes. Enter 2 MB and use JPG or WebP. If the source cannot reach the target at usable settings, ThumbPull reports the best result instead of claiming success.

Does ThumbPull upload my image?

Normal resize, crop, compress, convert and batch work is processed in the browser. Pulling a public YouTube thumbnail requires requesting that public image from YouTube.

Do I need an account?

No. The core thumbnail and image tools are designed to work without creating an account.
