Why Is maxresdefault Missing?
Not every YouTube video exposes the same public thumbnail variants. A downloader should detect that instead of showing a broken image.
Use the largest genuine variant that exists
ThumbPull checks MAX RES, SD, HQ, MQ and Default and only shows the variants that can actually be retrieved. If maxresdefault is absent, use the largest real source available.
You can resize that image afterward if a workflow requires exact dimensions, but the larger output should be described as an upscale. It is not a higher-resolution source retrieved from YouTube.
